Edition 20th Anniversary Treasure Chest Humidors received an "A"
Rating from Cigar Aficionado The original DM Treasure Chest became a coveted collectors item in 1992
when it was introduced, becoming the first humidor of its kind. One
collector was actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, now the
Governor of California, who bought it for his private
office where it remains today. Arnold later allowed his Treasure Chest to
be photographed for a layout that appeared in the May 1997 issue of Cigar
Aficionado.The remaining
pieces from the original Treasure Chest collection were auctioned to
benefit charity.

In
the ensuing years, copy attempts of this design were made by various,
newly formed companies that began to make humidors following the launch of
the highly successful Cigar Aficionado magazine. This
stunning humidor collection incorporates
important elements of function and style. The gently curving silhouette of
the lid make the Treasure Chest an appealing way to care for precious
cigars.
This sensual and artistic shape transforms the rare burl wood into a pattern that
appears to bein motion.
The urge to caress this humidor cannot be resisted. Designed to
exquisitely compliment any décor,
each individual piece is masterfully crafted
with intricate attention and detail, requiring over 200 individual steps
and 6 months to create. Daniel Marshall’s “1000 coat finish” provides
permanent protection, luster and depth that shows off the natural beauty
of the precious burl. French 24kt gold quadrant hinges, security locks
and tasseled keys assure generations of service. The
finest of Spanish cedar has been carefully selected for the interiors of these
humidors providing the ideal environment and optimum humidity stabilization to
maintain and age fine cigars. The collection will
be individually inscribed with each pieces corresponding number from the series during final inspection.

Maple sports a contemporary but classic look that is set off
beautifully with the famous Daniel Marshall trademark black ebony
edging.
*Enclosed with each cigar humidor will come instructions that
detail the maintenance and function of the humidification system. These
regulators need to be charged with distilled water every 4 to 6 weeks after
initial break in period of 10 to 14 days. Initially, and then every six months,
the addition of the Special Care Moistener is required to allow the regulator to
maintain the ideal humidity inside your humidor.
*This time proven and guaranteed DM regulator automatically regulates the
atmosphere in the humidor at 68% to 72% humidity. The function of the system is
based on the principals of evaporation and natural absorption and replicates
inside the cigar box a climate similar to that of the regions in the world that
fine tobacco is grown and aged.
*The analog style hygrometers that we install in our Wood Humidor Collection's
are the best quality made. Analog-Style Hygrometers are known to be quite
inaccurate and should be used only as a reference. Movements of humidity that
the meters show will indicate changes of condition inside your humidor. We have
found that some of the meters can have an error of up to 10%. Additional details
about the hygrometers will be enclosed with your humidor. If you like, instead
of the analog style hygrometer, we can install digital hygrometers at a nominal
charge into all the humidors.Ask us for more details.
