Product Description
Early explorers discovered a golden leaf while on the Isle of Cuba. Presented as a gift from the natives, these dry leaves were rolled in tubes to smoke. The process was so enjoyable, smoking cigars spread across Europe and the island that produced these magnificent leaves was named, La Perla del Mar, the Pearl of the Sea. In 2012, J.C. Newman paid homage to the widespread discovery of cigars by reintroducing Perla del Mar to the marketplace. A traditionally Cuban brand, Perla del Mar, is now produced out of PENSA, the same boutique factory making the wildly popular Brick House and El Baton brands. The filler and binder tobaccos have been selected from four different distinct regions in Nicaragua, Pueblo Nuevo, La Reina, Condega and Jalapa. When paired with the mild, creamy shade wrapper, this mixture provides a lighter, fresher flavor with the depth of flavor and complexities cigar smokers have come to enjoy in Nicaraguan tobacco. Available in both natural and maduro, the maduro features a flavorful genuine Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper.
